DXV Equility and DXV Modulus are two DXV toilet lines that look quite different. Equility uses soft, smooth-sided shapes and comes in one-piece and two-piece versions. Modulus is more architectural, with a slim high-back tank and push-button flush, and there is also a wall-hung bowl. This guide compares the Equility and Modulus toilets on our site spec by spec, using only what our product pages and dxv.ca state. See every DXV product we carry on our DXV brand page.

DXV Equility toilets
All Equility models list a smooth-sided bowl that hides the trapway, a PowerWash rim, an elongated chair-height bowl, a slow-close seat with telescoping lid and a 12-inch rough-in. Your choices:
- One-piece, single flush: the Equility one-piece has no gap between tank and bowl, which makes it easier to clean. It flushes at 1.28 gpf, and its page says it uses 20% less water than a regular toilet. There is also a right-hand trip lever version.
- One-piece, dual flush: the Equility one-piece dual flush lists 1.28 gpf (4.8 Lpf) full and 1.0 gpf (3.8 Lpf) reduced, with a top-mounted push-button.
- Two-piece: the Equility two-piece (1.28 gpf, trip lever, also offered as a right-hand lever version) and the Equility two-piece dual flush. Our dual-flush page lists two different flush figures, so confirm on the spec sheet.
DXV Modulus toilets
The Modulus one-piece has a slim high-back tank, smooth skirted sides, a Polished Chrome push-button actuator (other finishes sold separately), a chair-height elongated bowl and an EverClean antimicrobial surface. It is WaterSense certified at 1.28 gpf on a 12-inch rough-in. If you want a floating look, the Modulus wall-hung bowl includes a mounting kit and slow-close seat. It needs an in-wall tank carrier and an actuator, both sold separately. Our page lists conflicting flush volumes for this bowl, so check the spec sheet. The replacement Modulus elongated seat is also on our site.
Which one fits your bathroom?
- Replacing an existing floor toilet: any Equility model or the Modulus one-piece will suit a standard 12-inch rough-in. Measure first.
- Easiest to clean: one-piece models in either line. The Equility one-piece and Modulus one-piece both have skirted or smooth sides.
- Most water-saving option on paper: the Equility one-piece dual flush with its 1.0 gpf reduced flush.
- Floating, modern look: the Modulus wall-hung bowl, if you are opening the wall anyway. Read our wall-hung toilet guide.

FAQ
What is the difference between DXV Equility and DXV Modulus toilets?
Equility is from DXV's Contemporary Movement and comes in one-piece and two-piece versions, with single or dual flush. Modulus is from the Modern Movement. On our site it comes as a one-piece toilet with a slim, high-back tank and a push-button actuator, or as a wall-hung bowl.
What rough-in do DXV Equility and Modulus toilets need?
Our Equility one-piece and two-piece pages and the Modulus one-piece page all list a 12-inch rough-in. The Modulus wall-hung bowl mounts to an in-wall tank carrier, sold separately, so it does not use a floor rough-in.
How much water do they use?
The Equility single-flush toilets and the Modulus one-piece list 1.28 gallons per flush maximum. The Equility one-piece dual flush lists 1.28 gpf full and 1.0 gpf reduced. Our pages give conflicting figures for the Equility two-piece dual flush and the Modulus wall-hung bowl, so check those spec sheets.
Do DXV Equility and Modulus toilets come with a seat?
Yes. The Equility pages list a slow-close seat with telescoping lid, and the Modulus one-piece and wall-hung pages list a slow-close, quick-release seat.
Is chair height standard on these models?
The Equility and Modulus one-piece toilets we carry are listed as chair height or Right Height with elongated bowls. The Equility one-piece dual flush lists a bowl height with seat of 471.49 mm, and the Modulus one-piece lists 469.90 mm.
