Franke kitchen sinks for the home

Franke makes kitchen sinks in several materials, so the right one depends on the look you want and how your kitchen works. This page covers Franke residential kitchen sinks: Maris Fragranite sinks for a modern, matte look and Manor House farmhouse fireclay sinks for a traditional apron-front kitchen. Franke's sister brand Kindred, known for Canadian-made stainless steel, has its own page: Kindred kitchen sinks.

Franke Commercial products, such as washroom, lab and scullery fixtures, are kept on a separate page, so you will only see home kitchen products here.

Fragranite or fireclay?

Maris Fragranite

Fragranite is Franke's granite composite, a composite of stone and resin. It has a matte, solid-colour finish and suits contemporary kitchens where you want something other than stainless steel. Maris sinks are available in a range of colours, so check the finish options on each product page. Some Maris models are workstation sinks, with a ledge that holds cutting boards and other accessories.

Manor House farmhouse fireclay

Fireclay is clay that is shaped, glazed and fired at high heat. Manor House sinks are apron-front, which means the front of the sink is exposed and becomes part of the cabinet line. They suit farmhouse, shaker and traditional kitchens, and they pair well with our other farmhouse kitchen sinks.

Fireclay is heavy, and the cabinet needs to be built or modified for an apron front. Check the minimum cabinet size on the product page, and ask us if you are unsure about your cabinet.

Franke questions

Is this the same as Franke Commercial?

No. Commercial, institutional and lab products are on the Franke Commercial page.

What size sink do I need?

Measure the inside width of your sink base cabinet, then compare it with the minimum cabinet size listed for each sink. If you are replacing a sink, send us the model number or the cutout size.
