Why 316 stainless for a lab

Type 316 stainless steel is generally more resistant to corrosion from chlorides and many chemicals than the more common type 304, which is why labs and some food and healthcare spaces specify it. Always check the material listed on the product page for the exact model, and confirm it against your project specification.
