For a Delta Trinsic bathroom start with the 554HAR single-handle faucet, the 3554 widespread or the 2554 centerset, for the kitchen start with the 9159 pull-down, and for a freestanding tub use the T4754 floor-mount tub filler; the 554HAR, 3554, 2554 and T4754 are each listed in six finishes (Chrome, Matte Black, Champagne Bronze, Polished Nickel, Venetian Bronze and Stainless Steel), so one finish can run from faucet to tub filler to towel bar, and you can browse every piece in the Delta faucet range at Plumbing Market.
Quick answer
- Trinsic is Delta's modern, minimal line. Delta describes the bath collection as inspired by modern European design, with an industrial wheel handle on the bath pieces.
- It covers the whole room: pull-down, pull-out and bar/prep kitchen faucets, single-hole, widespread, centerset and wall-mount bath faucets, tub fillers, Monitor shower trims and matching accessories.
- Touch2O and VoiceIQ come on selected Trinsic kitchen faucets, and Touch2O also comes on a Trinsic bath faucet.
- Read the "trim only" notes. Wall-mount faucets, Roman tub trims and shower trims need a separate rough-in; the product page names the one to buy.
- Not sure about the look? A wheel-handle bath faucet is a modern style. If you prefer a softer traditional shape, see our overview of the best Delta faucets in Canada instead.

What Delta Trinsic is
Trinsic is a Delta Faucet design family, not a single faucet. Delta sells it as a kitchen collection and a bath collection with the same clean-lined look, and the bath pieces use a round, industrial wheel handle. Because the pieces share a finish range and a design language, Trinsic is one of the easier Delta lines to match from the vanity to the tub to the shower.
Across the family, the Delta product descriptions on our pages repeat the same technical features: Diamond Seal Technology (Delta says it reduces leak points and lasts twice as long as the ASME A112.18.1 industry standard of 500,000 cycles), integrated InnoFlex PEX supply lines on most faucets, and a Delta Lifetime Limited Warranty. The kitchen faucets add MagnaTite docking (a magnet holds the spray wand in place) and Touch-Clean spray holes (soft rubber nozzles you can rub clear of lime).

Trinsic kitchen faucets
The workhorse is the Trinsic 9159 single-handle pull-down. It is listed for 1 or 3-hole 8" installations, with an optional escutcheon sold separately, a high-arc spout that swivels 360°, ADA compliance, and everything in one box including InnoFlex PEX supply lines. It comes in five finishes on the page (Matte Black, Chrome, Stainless Steel, Champagne Bronze and a Black / Stainless Steel two-tone).
Three variations solve specific problems:
- The 9159-LS limited-swivel version stops the spout at 140° so it cannot swing past the sink edge, which Delta lists as suited to multi-family housing.
- The 4159 pull-out gives you the same Trinsic styling with a pull-out spray head rather than a pull-down wand.
- For a second sink the Trinsic bar/prep size exists as well; see the full Delta kitchen faucet collection for the 9959 family.
If you want to compare Trinsic with the other Delta kitchen designs, the Delta kitchen faucets collection lists them side by side.
Touch2O and VoiceIQ on Trinsic
Trinsic is the line where Delta's touchless technology is easiest to find. There are three levels:
- Trinsic 9159T with Touch2O: a touch anywhere on the spout or handle, with a wrist or forearm, starts and stops the water at the temperature the handle is set to. Delta lists a TempSense LED that changes colour with water temperature, automatic shut-off after four minutes, and battery operation on 6 AA batteries (included).
- Trinsic Pro 9659TL: Delta Touch2O with touchless technology, so you can place a hand near the faucet, tap the surface, or use the handle in the normal way.
- Trinsic 9159TLV with VoiceIQ: adds voice control through a connected-home device (metered amounts such as one cup, water warm-up and custom container commands). Delta lists touch-free activation when a hand is within 4 inches of the faucet.
Already own a Touch2O faucet? The VoiceIQ module EP100855 is listed as a retrofit for Touch2O faucets made after January 1, 2018. For the bathroom, the Trinsic Touch2O bath faucet gives the same touch-or-hands-near idea at the vanity. More touchless options are in our touchless kitchen faucets and touchless bathroom faucets collections.
Honest note: Touch2O faucets use batteries or an optional AC adapter, and VoiceIQ also needs home Wi-Fi and an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device, per Delta's VoiceIQ page. If you do not want electronics at the sink, choose the non-touchless 9159.
Trinsic bathroom faucets
Choose the faucet by the holes in your vanity first, then by style.
- One hole: the 554HAR single-handle fits single-hole installations, includes a matching metal pop-up drain, has a high-arc spout that does not swivel, and is WaterSense labeled (Delta says at least 20% less water than the industry standard).
- Three holes, spread out: the 3554 two-handle widespread fits 3-hole 4 to 16" installations. Delta lists a 7-1/2" spout height, a 5" spout length and InnoFlex PEX-C supply lines included.
- Three holes, 4" centres: the 2554 two-handle centerset fits 3-hole 4" installations and includes a matching metal pop-up drain and 1/4-turn handle stops.
- Wall mount: the single-handle wall-mount trim T3558LF fits 2-hole 4 to 8" wall installations and frees up vanity space, but it is a trim kit only: the rough-in kit R3510-WL is bought separately, and the drain is sold separately.
Pairing note: drains are not always included. The single-handle, widespread, centerset and Touch2O pages each say whether the pop-up is included or sold separately, so check before you add the faucet to your list. For other bath faucet families and finishes, see the Delta bathroom faucets collection.
Trinsic tub fillers
There are two Trinsic ways to fill a tub, and they work very differently.
- The T4754 freestanding floor-mount tub filler is the simpler of the two: single-hole installation, a swing spout, a 40" spout height and a 37" deck-to-outlet measurement, and ADA compliance. It is a trim kit, and Delta's own page for the T4754-FL says the R4700-FLWS rough-in (with stops) must be bought separately. Delta says supply lines are not included.
- The T2754 Roman tub trim is a 3-hole 8 to 16" deck-mount trim with a rigid slip-on spout. It is trim only: Delta names the rough-in R2707 (alternatives R2707-PX and R2707-MF), which you buy separately.
Measure the tub position before you choose: a floor-mount filler needs a clear floor point beside or behind a freestanding tub, and a Roman trim needs a deck wide enough for the 8 to 16" spread. More options, including wall-mount fillers from other Delta lines, are in the tub fillers collection, and our guide to Delta floor-mount, wall-mount and Roman tub fillers explains which rough-in each style needs.
Trinsic shower trims
Trinsic shower pieces are trim kits, which means they need a compatible rough-in valve. If you are matching a bath, start with the T14059 Monitor 14 Series valve trim, or the T14459-LHD tub and shower trim (less showerhead, to be used with the Delta MultiChoice Universal valve R10000-UNWS listed on the page). The T17459 Monitor 17 Series H2Okinetic trim adds a dual-function pressure balance cartridge and an H2Okinetic showerhead; the page lists a flow rate of 1.75 gpm at 80 psi.
Which valve goes behind which trim is the part people get wrong. We explain it in our guide to Delta shower valves and trims, and the full range is in the Delta shower faucets collection. If you would rather buy a matched set, see our guide to Delta shower kits and systems.
Matching Trinsic accessories
The Trinsic bath accessories are described by Delta as coordinating with the Trinsic bath collection: the 24" towel bar 759240, tissue holder 75950 and robe hook 75935 are examples. Mounting hardware and a template are included. Two of the three (the tissue holder and robe hook) are listed in five finishes without Venetian Bronze, so confirm the finish you want exists before you plan the set.

"–" means that finish is not an option on that page. The Stainless Steel column is the stainless option on each page; on the kitchen faucets the page descriptions call it Arctic Stainless, and several kitchen faucets also list a Black Stainless finish that is not shown as its own column.
Mixing finishes between kitchen and bath is common. Matching the bath pieces to each other matters more, because the faucet, tub filler, shower trim and towel bar are seen together.
Trinsic vs other Delta kitchen lines
People often ask whether Trinsic or a newer Delta design is the better kitchen choice. The honest answer is that they are similar in function and different in shape. Trinsic is the straight-lined, pared-back one. Delta's Nicoli kitchen faucets are described by Delta as balancing minimalist trends with a sleek, elevated look, with a 3-hole 8" bridge version and 1 or 3-hole 8" gooseneck versions, each with a 20" retractable hose. Delta's Essa Pro 9613 uses a coil-spring spout with a 19-3/8" spout height. Look at them side by side in the Delta kitchen faucets collection and decide on shape, because the shared technology (MagnaTite, Touch-Clean, Diamond Seal) is common across the lines.
Who should buy which
| If you are... | Choose | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Renovating a modern kitchen with a standard sink | 9159 pull-down | 1 or 3-hole 8" fit, 360° swivel, no electronics |
| Renovating a rental or multi-unit kitchen | 9159-LS limited swivel | The 140° stop limits accidental splashing past the sink |
| Cooking with messy hands often | 9159T Touch2O or 9659TL Pro | Touch or hands-near activation |
| Wanting voice-controlled measured fills | 9159TLV VoiceIQ | Voice commands plus touchless; needs home Wi-Fi and an Alexa or Google Assistant device |
| Replacing a single-hole vanity faucet | 554HAR | Single-hole, drain included |
| Replacing a widespread 3-hole vanity faucet | 3554 | Fits 4 to 16" spreads |
| Replacing a 4" centerset | 2554 | Fits 3-hole 4" holes, drain included |
| Building a wall-mount vanity | T3558LF with R3510-WL | Clears the counter, but plan the in-wall rough-in |
| Installing a freestanding tub | T4754 | Single hole, swing spout; add R4700-FLWS |
| Doing a deck-mount Roman tub | T2754 with R2707 | 8 to 16" spread; buy the rough-in |
| Finishing a shower to match | T14059 or T17459 | Monitor pressure balance trims; check the valve |
Our recommendation
If you like the modern look, Trinsic is an easy line to build a whole room around: pick the finish first, then the pieces for each hole count. For most kitchens we would choose the plain 9159 pull-down and only add Touch2O if messy hands at the sink are a real daily problem, because electronics add batteries and another thing to maintain. For a vanity, choose by the holes you already have. For a tub, the T4754 suits a freestanding tub as long as you plan the R4700-FLWS rough-in before the floor is finished; the Roman trim is a good choice when you already have a deck and the correct rough-in plan.
Trinsic is not for everyone. If you want a traditional or ornate bathroom, a wheel-handle faucet will look out of place; use our Delta faucet picks, read Are Delta faucets good? for the brand and its warranty, or browse the whole Delta range. If you are matching existing plumbing, confirm hole spacing and rough-in on the product page, and contact us before you order if anything is unclear.
Frequently asked questions
What is Delta Trinsic?
Trinsic is a Delta Faucet design family with kitchen faucets, bath faucets, tub fillers, shower trims and accessories in a clean, modern style. The bath pieces use an industrial wheel handle.
Is Delta Trinsic a good faucet?
Delta lists Diamond Seal Technology, included InnoFlex PEX supply lines on most faucets and a Lifetime Limited Warranty across the line. Whether it suits you depends mostly on the modern styling, the hole count of your sink or vanity and whether you want Touch2O electronics.
Which finishes does Delta Trinsic come in?
Most bath pieces on our pages are listed in Chrome, Matte Black, Champagne Bronze, Polished Nickel, Venetian Bronze and Stainless Steel. The kitchen faucets use a slightly different set: the page descriptions list Chrome, Matte Black, Champagne Bronze and Arctic Stainless, with Black Stainless and (on some models) Polished Nickel as well. Check the finish table in this guide and the product page before you plan a set.
Does the Trinsic bathroom faucet come with a drain?
It depends on the model. The 554HAR single-handle and 2554 centerset list a matching metal pop-up drain as included, while the wall-mount trim and the Touch2O bath faucet say the drain assembly is sold separately. Read the features list on the product page.
Does the Trinsic wall-mount faucet need a rough-in?
Yes. The single-handle wall-mount page says it is a trim kit only and names rough-in kit R3510-WL; the two-handle version names R3500-WL. Both are bought separately.
Do Trinsic Touch2O faucets need batteries?
The Trinsic 9159T lists 6 AA batteries (included) and an optional AC adapter EP73954; the Touch2O bath faucet lists AA batteries (included) and an optional AC adapter EP102157. See Delta's documents for battery life.
Can I add VoiceIQ to a Touch2O faucet?
The VoiceIQ module EP100855 is listed as a retrofit for Delta Touch2O faucets made after January 1, 2018, and it pairs with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant devices. Delta's VoiceIQ page says it needs a compatible Touch2O faucet, home Wi-Fi and a grounded outlet under the sink; check the product page.
Does the T4754 tub filler need a separate rough-in valve?
Yes. Delta's page for the T4754-FL says it is a trim kit and the R4700-FLWS rough-in must be purchased separately. The T2754 Roman tub trim is also trim only and needs rough-in R2707 (or R2707-PX / R2707-MF).
Are Trinsic faucets ADA compliant?
Several Trinsic pages, including the 9159 pull-down, 554HAR, 2554 and T4754, list ADA compliance. Check the page for the exact model you are buying.
What warranty does Delta Trinsic have?
Per Delta's published warranty, parts and finishes are covered for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns the home where the faucet was first installed, and electronic parts (excluding batteries) for five years, with no warranty on batteries. Read Delta's warranty text for the exact terms, conditions and exclusions; our comparison with other brands is in our guide to the Delta brand and its warranty.
